UNBLUR THE LINES
This project was realised during the first year of the BA (Hons) Advertising & Brand Design course at Ravensbourne University London. The subject of this campaign is a fictional character created by me.
Read the text below for more context.
A while back, Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke controversially lost a case in which their song „Blurred Lines" didn't contain a single music-theoretical element copied from the song of the sueing party. However, recently Ed Sheeran won a similar lawsuit which was based upon ridiculous claims coming from his opponent. The well-established producer JAMES FERGUSON is now finding himself in a similar position and makes it his goal to CHANGE THE FUTURE of the music world forever.
While it should be possible to claim the tangiable such as complex melodies and lyrics, no one can claim a feeling or a set of chords which have been used over a million times. James has set out to raise awareness of the issue and to “UNBLUR THE LINES" between INSPIRATION and PLAGIARISM.

The brief was to create a changemaker in a specific industry. Every single aspect of these campaign posters was either fully or partly carried out by me. That includes the idea, the art direction of the photoshoot, the modelling, the designing of the posters as well as the copywriting.
